How to make it
Instructions
- 1
Slice the chicken into strips and then season with: olive oil, paprika, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, turmeric, cinnamon (optional), salt and black pepper, juice of ½ lemon. Let that sit for even 15–20 minutes if you have time, but it doesn’t need a long marinade.
- 2
Cook the chicken in a hot skillet for about 6–8 minutes, tossing occasionally, until browned and cooked through.
- 3
Warm the pita, spread in some sauce, add chicken, cucumber, tomato, onion, feta, and lettuce.
- 4
For a side: cucumber-tomato salad with lemon, olive oil, salt, pepper, and maybe feta. Since you’re already buying those ingredients for the pitas, there’s basically no extra shopping or work.
